SHIHO Orphanage

Shiloh homes of hope International is currently working on building an orphanage in the Mbirika area, Kajiado county. The orphanage will cater for 60 orphans living in a family based setting. The orphans will be under caretakers or ‘mothers’. Each caretaker will cater for 10 children. This will enable each child to have their needs personally catered for and met. Our aim is that no child feels left out and for them to belong to a family.

The children will live in a homestead setting, where there will be a kitchen garden and a cow pen where they can be able to grow their own food and even raise cows and chicken to use and sell. It is our aim that the orphanage will be self sufficient in a few years. We hope also to build a water processing plant within the orphanage to create extra income to enable smooth running of the orphanage. This together with water distribution from the borehole to the neighboring residents in the area, will create extra income and enable the sustainability of the orphanage.

We hope to give the children different opportunities and challenges to grow their talent. Some of the programs we offer are
